Tornabous has completed the installation of the second of the three murals planned in La força invisible, an artistic, community, and pedagogical project that seeks to give visibility to the role of women in history and daily life. The new work is located on Llibertat street.
The mural focuses on tasks that sustain daily life and that often remain outside the public narrative. The piece depicts scenes of knowledge transmission, childcare, agricultural work, and a central figure under the slogan Proud and essential.
Llibertat street already hosts the second mural of the project
The action is part of a series of three interventions planned in the municipality. With the installation now complete, Tornabous adds a new piece to a project that combines artistic creation with a pedagogical and community participation dimension.
The work focuses on activities related to care and daily work. It also incorporates a central image that summarizes the initiative's message, aimed at recognizing the contributions of women who have been relegated in many social narratives.
The authors place work that usually remains out of focus at the center
Ivan Egea and Estitxu Julián, artists from the Pangoico collective of Arbeca, explain the meaning of the intervention and the type of work they want to highlight with the mural.
"the objective is to revalue the invisibilized women who carry out tasks that are not seen, but that are essential, since without them the world does not function" - Ivan Egea and Estitxu Julián, artists, Pangoico collective
The initiative has shared funding. The project is co-financed by the State Pact against Gender Violence and by the Tornabous town hall.
With this action, the municipality has completed two of the three murals planned within La força invisible.
