Three people have been injured this Sunday by the fall of a metal sheet at the La Noguera campsite in Sant Llorenç de Montgai, in the municipality of Camarasa. The incident occurred due to strong wind and the alert reached the Bombers de la Generalitat around 11:45 AM.
The campsite is located next to the Sant Llorenç de Montgai reservoir. Emergency services have been mobilized to the scene after one of the plates flew off and hit several customers who were nearby.
A woman and two minors lightly injured
The Medical Emergency System has reported that the injured people are a woman and two minors and that all presented minor injuries. The woman and one of the minors have been evacuated to the Arnau de Vilanova hospital in Lleida, while the other minor did not require transfer.
From the campsite, Cer Feliu has explained that a client had construction material, wood and metal sheets to make an awning. In that context, one of the pieces was lifted by a gust.

Strong wind throughout the morning
The person in charge of the establishment has pointed out that he does not remember a wind episode like this Sunday's since storm Gloria. He has also specified that within the campsite these situations are complicated by the presence of awnings held with tensioners and other weaker parts that on occasion can fly off, although usually without consequences.

During the morning, a second incident has also been registered inside the premises, when ornamental decoration caught fire. The fire was able to be extinguished without further damage being recorded.

The day has been marked by strong gusts in this area of La Noguera, next to the Sant Llorenç de Montgai reservoir, where the wind ended up causing two evacuated to Arnau de Vilanova and a third lightly injured person treated without the need for transfer.
