The Prosecutor's Office requests 12 years in prison for a man accused of continuously sexually abusing his daughter, who was then under 16 years old, during overnight visits he had with her in Lleida. The trial is scheduled for June 4 in the Audiència de Lleida.
The case places the events between 2011 and 2014 and maintains that the accused took advantage of the visitation regime to be alone with the minor. In addition to the prison sentence, the public ministry requests nine years of supervised release, a measure that extends control over the defendant beyond any potential prison sentence.

The indictment attributes to the defendant a continuous crime of sexual abuse of a minor under 16 years of age in accordance with the Penal Code in force at the time of the events. The sentence request also includes a restraining order of 500 meters and a prohibition from communicating with the victim for nine years.
The prosecution also demands that the man be disqualified from exercising parental authority and from working in activities with minors for five years. On the civil level, it requests that he compensate his daughter with 15,000 euros for moral damages.

The investigation was carried out by the former investigating court number 1 of Lleida, which sent the case for trial to the Audiència de Lleida. The procedure will be judged with the criminal classification applied to the period in which the events allegedly occurred.
Between 2011 and 2014, according to the prosecution, the accused used the overnight stays provided for in the visitation regime to be alone with the minor and commit the abuses continuously. The oral hearing will allow for the examination of this account and the sentencing request made by the Prosecutor's Office.
