The Bombers de la Generalitat carried out three mountain rescues yesterday in the Pyrenees and Pre-Pyrenees of Lleida, in addition to an evacuation due to a hit-and-run in Pallars Sobirà. The most complex operation occurred in Camarasa, where a 42-year-old woman suffered a leg fracture after falling on the Camí de Ferradura de la Ribera.

The concentration of incidents in a few hours led to interventions in Noguera, Alt Urgell, Cerdanya, and Pallars Sobirà. While two women had to be evacuated by helicopter to hospitals in Lleida and La Seu d'Urgell, in Josa i Tuixent another operation located six hikers who had become disoriented.

The GRAE evacuated two injured women by helicopter in Camarasa and Montellà i Martinet

In Camarasa, the Bombers activated the GRAE to rescue the injured hiker on the Camí de Ferradura de la Ribera. The operation mobilized a helicopter and a rescue raft to complete the evacuation.

The woman, 42 years old, had a leg fracture and emergency teams transferred her to the Arnau de Vilanova hospital in Lleida.

Also in the Lleida mountains, a 41-year-old woman suffered a back injury after slipping down a gully in Montellà i Martinet. Rescuers immobilized her with a neck brace and pelvic belt before evacuating her by helicopter with a vacuum mattress to the hospital in La Seu.

Six hikers got lost in Josa i Tuixent and a pedestrian ended up at the CAP in Sort

Hours later, the Bombers rescued a group of six hikers who had become disoriented in Josa i Tuixent, in Alt Urgell. The alert required deploying another search service on a day with several call-outs in mountain environments.

Outside this area, a pedestrian suffered minor injuries after being hit by a vehicle in Baro, within the municipality of Soriguera. Emergency services evacuated him to the CAP in Sort.

The transfer for the hit-and-run ended precisely at that reference health center in Pallars Sobirà, while the other two rescues ended at the Arnau de Vilanova hospital in Lleida and the hospital in La Seu d'Urgell.
