Pavement improvement works on the N II between Lleida and Alcarràs will begin on Monday, March 23 on a section of about 1.7 kilometers located between the intersection with the main Pinyana irrigation canal and the Camí de Collastret, near the municipal boundary. The work will extend, if the foreseen deadlines are met, until April 1.
The intervention will affect a very specific point of the road and will be carried out without total traffic cuts. During the works, alternative passage will be enabled when necessary to guarantee the safety of the works and of the circulation.
Resurfacing on the N II and on the Camí de Collastret
The improvement of the road surface will include the resurfacing of the shoulder affected by the trench opened for the new electrical conduit. The right lane in the direction of Lleida, one of the areas included in this action, will also be renewed.
Additionally, the works will reach the Camino de Montagut, known in the area as Camí de Collastret, where the improvement of the road surface is also planned. The project will be completed with the renewal of the horizontal signage.
Action linked to a building permit
The works will be executed by the company Rascón Solar and respond to the fulfillment of the conditions set in the license granted for the construction of an electrical line that crosses this point of the N II.
No traffic cuts are foreseen during the development of the action, although the punctual regulation of circulation with alternative passage will mark the rhythm of the works in the moments in which intervention is made on the roadway.
The forecast is that the road will be completely conditioned on April 1, once the asphalting and painting tasks are finished on this access between Lleida and Alcarràs.
