The Civil Guard arrested on Monday two occupants of a car with Andorran license plates at the La Farga de Moles customs after locating 1,000 grams of hashish inside the vehicle as they were trying to access the Principality.
The performance occurred around 2:00 PM. The agents carried out an initial visual inspection of the tourist vehicle and detected that the two occupants showed a restless attitude. From there they searched the car and found a bag with the drug in the back seat.
In that same bag they also found three packages of CBD of 10 grams each and a precision scale. The two arrested individuals were placed at the disposal of the investigation opened regarding these events.
Two anti-drug operations in Les Garrigues
Aside from this intervention in Alt Urgell, the Mossos d'Esquadra carried out on Tuesday and yesterday two operations against drug trafficking in the region of Les Garrigues, with actions in Castelldans and L'Albi.
In Castelldans, on Tuesday, investigators arrested a man accused of being the alleged perpetrator of a marijuana plantation set up on a property in the Serreta de Sant Jaume urbanization. At the site, they located 454 plants, 675 grams of buds, and a precision scale.
The installation had led lights and carbon filters. Furthermore, the connection was registered with a contract of 4.6 KW, although the agents detected an average consumption that exceeded 20 KW, a fact that was incorporated into the investigation.
Registration in a dwelling in L'Albi
Yesterday, in a second operation, the Mossos carried out a raid in L"Albi focused on alleged cocaine trafficking. The agents searched a home on Catalunya avenue and arrested a resident of the municipality.
The investigations remain open on the different police fronts, both at the La Farga de Moles border crossing and in Les Garrigues, awaiting the judicial evolution of the arrests made in recent days.
