A hundred self-employed workers have marched this Monday through the center of Girona in a protest that began in Plaça del Vi and ended in front of the Generalitat delegation. The mobilization took place in the morning and brought together professionals from different sectors who demand improvements in their labor and tax conditions.
Claim for decent conditions
The protesters have carried banners with the slogan "Enough is enough" while advancing through the most central streets of the city. The protest has focused on the situation that self-employed workers in Girona are going through, who denounce that the monthly fees and tax pressure prevent them from developing their activity with guarantees.
During the march, the participants have insisted on the need to stop being suffocated by the fees they pay each month. The route has been peaceful and no incidents have been registered, according to sources from the organization.
Concern about the future of the collective

The concentration has ended at the delegation of the Generalitat, where the organizers have delivered a document with their demands. The self-employed of Girona insist that the current situation leaves them in a position of vulnerability with respect to other European countries and demand an urgent review of the policies affecting the sector.
