The meeting between the Departament d'Educació and the unions ended without agreement and left a new meeting pending for Tuesday. The department and the organizations maintain open negotiations on inclusive education and salary.
The point of friction comes before that meeting. The unions expect to receive a negotiating proposal on Monday and have already warned that they will not attend Tuesday's meeting if the document does not convince them.
Educació called another meeting for Tuesday despite closing the session without agreement
Negotiations stalled after the meeting held between the Departament d'Educació and the unions. Even so, both parties maintain a new meeting on the calendar for Tuesday, now conditioned on the content of the proposal that the department must send on Monday.
That text must address two issues that remain open, inclusive education and salary. The attendance of the unions at the next meeting depends on the offer including progress on these two fronts.
Ignasi Giménez said that the agreement with CCOO and UGT still leaves room
During the meeting, Ignasi Giménez, Secretary of Educational Improvement, argued that the department wants to explore the margins of the agreement already signed with CCOO and UGT. He did not specify whether that margin allows for going beyond the 30% increase in the specific supplement agreed upon with both organizations.
"There are margins within the agreement to find solutions and proposals that allow us to get out of this situation" - Ignasi Giménez, Secretary of Educational Improvement, Departament d'Educació
For now, negotiations remain pending that document. The last date set on the calendar is that the unions expect to receive the proposal on Monday before deciding whether or not to attend the meeting called for Tuesday.
