Two wild boars were seen this Monday afternoon on Fontajau street in Girona, in broad daylight and in an area located between the Xavier Cugat rambla and the Ter river. The sighting caught the attention of several neighbors, since this type of animal is usually seen more frequently during the night.
A new sighting in an area near the center
The presence of animals in Fontajau is not an isolated event in the city. In Girona, other appearances of wild boars have already been registered in urban areas and in very busy spots, also in sectors close to the center. On many occasions, these specimens approach attracted by food.
It is not the first time that wild boars reach a central area of Girona. On previous occasions they have been seen in different parts of the city, which confirms a recurrent presence in the urban environment.
