The Local Police of Vidreres arrested on Wednesday, April 22, two minors allegedly involved in the theft of a motorcycle after both fled by skipping a preventive police checkpoint in the municipality. The two young people were subsequently placed at the disposal of the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office.
Flight upon detecting the control
The operation began when the agents observed how two suspects escaped upon seeing the police operation. From that moment, the Local Police deployed an operation to try to locate them and block their way.
Shortly after, officers detected two boys on whom suspicions fell, among other reasons because it was recorded that they had escaped from a juvenile center in the area. The police identified them and opened the corresponding checks.
Checks on the stolen motorcycle
After the investigations carried out, the Local Police confirmed that the two minors were involved in the theft of a motorcycle. In addition, the stolen motorcycle matched the one that had been used in the escape after skipping the preventive checkpoint.
With this evidence, the agents arrested the two minors as alleged perpetrators of the acts. The motorcycle could be recovered and was returned to its owner.
The investigation thus allowed to clarify the relationship between the initial escape and the theft of the vehicle, in an action that ended with the two minors arrested and with the motorcycle back in the hands of its owner.
