A truck became stuck this Monday on the C-25 after crashing into the median, blocking traffic on the Eix Transversal near Brunyola, in the direction of Girona. The accident occurred around 12:30 PM at kilometer 225.
The incident forced the closure of the road in a key access section to Girona, although the Servei Català de Trànsit indicated that initially there were no reported injuries. Traffic, moreover, was hampered by the heavy rains falling in the area at that time.
The Mossos diverted traffic via exit 225 towards Olot and Anglès
The Mossos d'Esquadra de Trànsit activated diversions via exit 225 while the truck remained across the road. That point connects to Olot, Anglès, Santa Coloma de Farners, and the C-63 road.
During the incident, the crashed vehicle blocked traffic on the Eix Transversal in the direction of Girona after impacting the median. The disruption coincided with an episode of intense rain that complicated the passage of vehicles in the vicinity of Brunyola.
The C-25 reopened at 3:00 PM but kept one lane closed
Around 3:00 PM, the road was able to reopen, although with one lane still closed. The normalization of traffic, therefore, was not complete three hours after the accident.
In the first communication about the incident, the Servei Català de Trànsit reported that no injuries had been recorded.
