The Guàrdia Urbana of Figueres arrested an adult man of Palestinian nationality on Monday morning as the alleged perpetrator of the burning of three containers in the station area. The fires broke out on three different streets within a sixteen-minute interval.
The arrest came shortly after the fires, when officers located the suspect in the same area. The sequence concentrated three alerts between 6:56 and 7:12 AM on Josep Roca Bros, Rocabertí, and Riumors, a very short margin for separate incidents in nearby points around the station.

The first alert came at 6:56 AM for a cardboard container on fire on Josep Roca Bros street. Bombers de la Generalitat mobilized two crews and extinguished the fire.
Seven minutes later, at 7:03 AM, a second alert came in for another burned container on Rocabertí street. At 7:12 AM, a third fire affected a waste container on Riumors street.
The three locations are situated in the station area, where the police located the alleged perpetrator shortly after the fires. The operation was concentrated in the same sector of Figueres during the first hour of the morning.

After the initial actions, the Guàrdia Urbana arrested an adult man of Palestinian nationality and provisionally attributes the burning of the three containers to him. The police investigation has been recorded in proceedings.
The balance of emergency services does not record any other damage outside of the affected containers. No further material or personal damage has been registered during the intervention on Josep Roca Bros, Rocabertí, and Riumors streets.
