The large beacon located at the lower part of the Girona Cup esplanade is being moved to a new location within the Devesa park, next to the Hotel Inform. The works to install the beacon in its new location are already underway.
Relocation to facilitate activities and events
The decision to move the beacon responds to the need to free up space on the Copa esplanade, especially on special dates. The lighting element had to be removed to install the Circ de Nadal tent or when it posed an obstacle during concerts and other large-scale activities.

Meeting point at big celebrations
The beacon is a usual landmark in large events, especially during the concerts at the Girona Fairs' stalls. Its presence facilitates orientation and meetings between attendees on days of high attendance.
On the Copa esplanade, a second beacon of similar dimensions remains, situated in a more elevated area and close to some stairs. This structure will not be affected by the current transfer.
The transfer will allow lighting to be maintained in the area without interfering with the organization of events. The intervention focuses on optimizing the use of public space and guaranteeing the safety and comfort of users during the activities scheduled in the venue.
