Three people were injured this Monday morning in a head-on collision between an SUV and a van on the C-65, near Cassà de la Selva. The accident occurred shortly after 9:30 AM and forced the road to be closed while emergency services worked.
One of the occupants was trapped inside one of the vehicles and the Generalitat Firefighters had to extricate him. He suffered minor injuries, while the other two affected people sustained slight injuries, in an incident that mobilized several services in a usual transit section in Gironès.

Mossos d'Esquadra, SEM, and Generalitat Firefighters were dispatched to the scene. The intervention focused on securing the area, attending to the injured, and removing the person who could not exit the vehicle on their own.
After the extrication, SEM attended to the three affected individuals. Paramedics transferred the two with slight injuries and the occupant with minor injuries to the Josep Trueta hospital in Girona.
