Expocasió Girona closed this Sunday in Fornells de la Selva with an estimate of between 400 and 420 vehicles sold after three days of fair in the Pla de la Seva industrial estate. The event brought together more than a thousand used, zero-kilometer, nearly new vehicles, vans, motorcycles, motorhomes, and hybrid and electric models from May 15 to 17.
The figure comes in a context that the sector considers less favorable and despite the forecast of rain. Even so, the fair maintained levels similar to previous years, with 101 cars sold on Friday and 213 on Saturday, according to Albert Alsina, head of the organization.
The fair maintained more than 300 sales in two days despite the market
The volume of transactions concentrated most of the purchases in the first two days. With 101 sales on Friday and 213 on Saturday, the show reached Sunday with 314 vehicles already placed, awaiting the final balance to close between 400 and 420 units.
Alsina attributed part of that response to a wide offering in the same venue. During the fair, more than a thousand vehicles occupied an area of 14,000 square meters in Fornells de la Selva.

The event grouped used and zero-kilometer cars, but also nearly new vehicles, vans, motorcycles, and motorhomes. The offering also included hybrid and electric vehicles, a segment that concentrated a good part of the buyers' interest.
Buyers looked for SUVs under 20,000 euros and with hybridization
Demand focused mainly on compact and medium SUVs priced under 20,000 euros. Diesel aroused little interest, while most customers came with the intention of finding cars with some hybridization system.
According to Alsina, some families repeat purchases at the fair, making it the place where they acquire their third or fourth vehicle. The organizer linked this loyalty to the confidence generated by inspected, guaranteed cars with after-sales service from the exhibitors.
Not all transactions are closed during the weekend. Some visitors identify the vehicle or the dealership at the venue and formalize the purchase in the following days directly with the exhibitor.
After the Fornells de la Selva event and having passed through La Bisbal this year, the Expocasió calendar foresees a new edition in Blanes in September and another in Girona in mid-October.
