The Guardia Urbana of L'Hospitalet de Llobregat no longer attends emergencies on its previous phone number and 112 is from now on the only way to notify that body, Mossos d'Esquadra, Bombers de la Generalitat and SEM.
The new operation came into effect on April 1 of last year, after a three-year process that incorporated more than 70,000 annual calls to the CAT 112 system.
Parlon announced the integration in January during the Urban Guard Day
The municipality became the second town in Catalonia, after Barcelona, to be fully integrated into the Centre d'Atenció i Gestió de Trucades d'Urgència 112 Catalunya.
The 112 operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, it is free, universal and allows the call to be geolocated.
Also, it operates without a SIM card if there is coverage.
Núria Parlon, counselor of Interior and Public Security, announced the integration during the celebration event of the Urban Guard Day in January.
