The General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) has scheduled the completion of more than 300 practical exams for the class B driving license this Saturday, May 16. The measure seeks to reduce the accumulated waiting list in Lleida through an extraordinary call.

This action is part of the state shock plan and is supported by the temporary assignment of itinerant examiners to the capital of Segrià. The objective is to decongest the existing demand in the area.

Human and organizational resources reinforcement

The subdelegate of the Government in Lleida, José Crespín, highlighted the administration's response to the increase in applications. According to his statements, the DGT has acted with responsibility and speed to improve public service.

"The DGT has acted with responsibility and speed in the face of the existing increase in demand, reinforcing human and organizational resources to continue improving public service." - José Crespín, Deputy Government Delegate in Lleida

Since the beginning of the year, the city has had itinerant examiners on a continuous basis. This strategy is complemented by internal reorganization measures and the performance of voluntary overtime by available staff.

Impact on the territory's centers

The device will be developed in a centralized manner to optimize resources and increase the operational capacity of the DGT in the demarcation during the coming weeks. This concentration of efforts will allow for better management of the volume of applicants.

Crespín explained that this extraordinary call in Lleida will allow absorbing a good part of the accumulated demand in the capital. As a direct consequence, more resources will be freed up to reinforce the exams in other parts of the territory.

"The celebration of this extraordinary call in Lleida will allow us to absorb a good part of the accumulated demand in the capital and, consequently, free up more resources to reinforce the exams in the territory, at the centers of La Pobla de Segur and La Seu d'Urgell." - José Crespín, Government sub-delegate in Lleida

The centers in Pobla de Segur and La Seu d'Urgell will receive the reinforcement of resources once they are freed up after the intensive day in Lleida.
