The bus service between Barcelona and Girona Airport will expand its offering starting Monday, June 1, with 56 daily departures operated by Barcelona Bus S. L., part of the Sagalés group. The measure, announced by the Departament de Territori, will coincide with the summer and early autumn.
The reinforcement represents a 40% increase compared to the 40 departures last summer and aims to provide more coverage during one of the periods of highest demand. The expansion will be maintained until Saturday, October 31, 2026.
The service will offer 28 direct departures per direction each day
The new schedule sets up to 28 daily direct departures per direction between the center of Barcelona and Girona Airport. The journey will continue to have a duration of one hour and fifteen minutes.
From Barcelona, the first arrival at the airport will be at 04:00 AM and the last at 00:50 AM. In the opposite direction, departures from Girona Airport will begin at 07:05 AM and end at 01:35 AM.
Territori will maintain the reinforcement until October 31, 2026
Sílvia Paneque, Minister of Territori, stated that the expansion of hours guarantees a more stable and predictable service so that users can plan their trips during the summer months.

Barcelona Bus S. L., integrated into the Sagalés group, will assume the operation of this regular service in a campaign that will start on Monday, June 1, and will extend the hours in both directions between the Catalan capital and the Girona infrastructure.
The extended schedule will remain in effect until Saturday, October 31, 2026.
