The lifeless body of a woman was found last Friday on a road near the entrance to Roses, close to the highway, as confirmed by the Mossos d'Esquadra. Subsequent identification revealed it to be María Flor, a 78-year-old resident of the municipality, who had been missing since January 4.
The Discovery and Intervention of Emergency Services
A citizen walking through the area located the body around ten in the morning. After alerting the emergency services, the intervention of the Mossos d'Esquadra and the SEM was activated. Subsequently, the body was removed and transferred for an autopsy.
Police Investigation and Absence of Evidence of a Crime
Investigation sources have indicated that there are no signs pointing to a violent death. The Mossos d'Esquadra have confirmed that no signs of a crime have been detected in the woman's death. The case remains under investigation pending the final autopsy results.
The disappearance of María Flor on January 4th prompted the activation of a large search operation in Roses and its surroundings. For several days, police officers and volunteers scoured different parts of the municipality in an attempt to locate the resident.
