The Tax Agency has collected 792.2 million euros in Girona during the first quarter of the year, 14.3% more than the 693 million from the same period last year.

The boost arrives again with the IRPF and VAT on the rise, while corporate tax remains in negative balance. Girona, moreover, grows above the state average and chains together four years of post-pandemic highs.

IRPF and VAT pushed 744.4 million until March

The Personal Income Tax has contributed 422.5 million euros until March, 8.4% more than the 389.8 million from the first quarter of last year.

VAT has reached 321.9 million in the demarcation, with an increase of 22.4% and almost 59 million more than in the previous quarter.

Between both taxes they concentrated the greater part of the Girona revenue at the start of the year.
