A tourist suffered the theft of her bicycle in the Barri Vell of Girona last Sunday, April 19, in the morning, although the Mossos d'Esquadra managed to recover it shortly after in the Santa Eugènia neighborhood. The vehicle was valued at around 12,000 euros.
The incident occurred around 09:45. The owner had left the bicycle leaning against the wall of a cafe's terrace, without any security measures, when it disappeared.

The search allowed the Mossos to locate a man who was carrying the bicycle on Puigmal street, in Santa Eugènia. Upon being surprised by the officers, the suspect tried to flee.
The police officers arrested him as the alleged perpetrator of a theft crime and recovered the stolen bicycle.
Vehicle returned to the owner
After the police intervention, the bicycle was returned to its owner. The operation was resolved a few hours after the theft, with the location of the vehicle and the arrest of the alleged thief.
