A fire affected a home located on the third floor of Carrer Major in Salt yesterday. The alert to Bombers de la Generalitat was received shortly before 8:30 PM. Five units were dispatched to the scene to control the situation.

Intervention of Firefighters and Access Difficulties

The flames originated in one of the rooms of the apartment, where a sofa and part of the living room burned. There were no injuries and no people were found inside the building. According to sources from the Fire Department, the anti-squatting door installed in the affected apartment complicated the entry of the emergency teams.

Unable to gain immediate access, two firefighting teams sprayed water from the floor below through a window facing the light well. Once they managed to open the door, firefighters began extinguishing the fire and searching for potential victims

Limited Damage and Coordinated Action

The fire was confined to a single room and did not spread to other areas of the property. The swift intervention of the Firefighters allowed them to control the blaze and prevent further damage. The operation was completed without the need to evacuate the building or activate emergency medical services.

Sources from the Fire Department have stressed that the presence of the anti-squatting door was an obstacle in the first few minutes of the intervention, although access was eventually gained and the fire extinguished without personal consequences.
