Ripoll will concentrate the Sant Jordi programming on April 22 and 23, with cultural activities at the Lambert Mata Library, Sant Eudald square, Gran square and Ajuntament square. The municipality will deploy an agenda that will combine literature, music, family proposals and the delivery of the Jocs Florals Comte Guifré 2026.
The Lambert Mata Library will open the celebration on April 22
The first appointment will arrive on Wednesday, April 22 with the Revetlla de Sant Jordi at the Biblioteca Lambert Mata. During the afternoon, two events have been programmed. At 5:30 p.m. the story time "A knight, a princess and a dragon... Sant Jordi?" will be held, by Gerard Garcés.
Later, at 18:30 hours, the Tastet d"autors Km.0, organized by Òmnium Ripollès, will take place. The proposal will bring together local writers who have published in Catalan during the last year.
Books, roses and activity in the center of the town on April 23
The central day of Sant Jordi will be experienced on Thursday, April 23. During the day, stalls of books and roses will be installed in plaça Sant Eudald, plaça Gran and the center of the town, which will concentrate a good part of the festive atmosphere.
At 10:30 hours, two activities will start simultaneously in different parts of Ripoll. On one hand, plaça Sant Eudald will host "Soul and the sea of stories". At the same time, in the plaça de l"Ajuntament, Jaume Ibars & Trasto Band will perform.
Afternoon of sardanas and literary act in the plaça de l"Ajuntament
The programming will continue in the afternoon in the plaça de l"Ajuntament. At 17:00 hours, a ballada de sardanes will be held with the Cobla Sol de Banyuls. An hour later, at 18:00, the delivery of the awards of the Jocs Florals Comte Guifré 2026 will take place, with musical accompaniment by Iolanda Pellicer.
With this calendar, Ripoll will distribute the celebration of Sant Jordi between the library and the town center squares, with a program designed to maintain continuous activity for two days in the main spaces of the town.
