Puratos has invested 2.5 million euros in a new production line at its Riudarenes plant, in the Selva region, with the aim of strengthening its range of premium segment creams and fillings. The facility, named Signature Creations, expands the industrial capacity of the Girona center.
The new line will allow to reach a production of up to 2.5 million kilos annually, focused on the development of this type of elaborations. With this move, the company consolidates the activity of a factory that operates in Riudarenes since 1993.
Reinforcement of production at the Girona plant
The Riudarenes plant has an area of more than 2,400 square meters and is specialized in the manufacture of creams, fillings, molded products, delights, and pralines. The incorporation of Signature Creations is part of this same production line, although specifically oriented to the premium segment.
The investment seeks to increase the factory's response capacity in one of its areas of greater added value. Riudarenes thus maintains its weight within the multinational's industrial structure in Catalonia.
A factory active since 1993
The center has been in operation for more than three decades and has consolidated itself as a specialized facility within the food sector. The new line is integrated into a plant already focused on creams, fillings, and pralines, products that have been part of its usual activity for years.
With this expansion, Puratos strengthens the productive capacity of its Riudarenes factory and takes another step in the production of premium references from its facilities in Girona.
