Pastora returns after 13 years: almost the entire capacity full in Girona without having done previous rehearsals

Pastora kicked off their 25th-anniversary tour at the Auditori de Girona, in a particularly anticipated return because the Barcelona band had been away from the stage for thirteen years. The concert gathered almost the entire capacity of a venue with more than 1,200 seats and opened a new stage for the group before an audience that responded from the very first moment.

The performance served as the absolute premiere of this return. Caïm Riba admitted before the concert that the reunion with the live performance arrived without prior run-through. The band, in fact, had not done previous performances nor reduced passes before this first engagement in Girona.

"We come directly to premiere, we haven't done concerts neither for friends nor anything. Coming back after thirteen years, the truth is that it generates a point of nerves for you" - Caïm Riba, musician

A repertoire faithful to the most recognizable songs

Pastora planned this tour with the intention of recovering its most emblematic songs, although with a contained sound update. The group has wanted to maintain the essence of its repertoire without turning those songs into completely different versions, an idea that marked the start of the live show in Girona.

"We wanted to recover the most emblematic songs, but we didn't want to turn them around. We wanted to maintain the essence, but updating them a bit" - Caïm Riba, musician

One of the highlights of the night was the participation of Marc Parrot in the performance of 'Mirona', in a collaboration that reinforced the special character of this first concert of the commemorative tour.

Strenes starts with a high sales pace

The beginning of Pastora is framed within an edition of the Strenes festival that had already sold 90% of the capacity even before starting. The public's response is also reflected in the concerts that have already hung the 'sold out' sign, among them those of Sílvia Pérez Cruz, Ludwig Band, Luz Casal, Búhos and Ginestà.

The festival also maintains another of its major events in Girona with Joan Dausà's show in Fontajau, where the attendance of more than 6,000 people is expected. With this start, Strenes confirms a high-demand edition and places the return of Pastora as one of the first points of attention of the event.
