A 78-year-old man, a resident of Sant Feliu de Llobregat, died on Monday at the Josep Trueta Hospital in Girona after suffering a fall in a rocky area of Punta des Plom, in the surroundings of Sa Tuna, in Begur. The accident occurred at 8:55 AM and the alert was received by 112.
The victim was found unconscious and in respiratory arrest, but emergency teams managed to revive and stabilize him on the ground before the transfer. Despite this initial intervention, the man did not survive his injuries and died hours later at the Girona hospital.

Elements of the Bombers de la Generalitat, the Local Police of Begur, and the SEM were deployed to the scene. The operation was concentrated on a point of difficult access on the Begur coastline, at Punta des Plom.
There, rescue services found the man unconscious and in respiratory arrest. The teams performed resuscitation maneuvers and managed to stabilize the injured man on the ground before organizing the evacuation.

After the initial care, the Bombers evacuated the injured man with a GRAE helicopter to a meeting point with the health services. From that point, the medical team took over the urgent transfer.
