The minority teacher unions CGT, Intersindical, and COS maintain the territorial strikes planned between Monday and Thursday while teachers participate in the consultation on the pre-agreement reached at the negotiating table. Monday's strike affects the Girona region and Central Catalonia.

The tension is concentrated on the fact that the de-convocation is not general. While the majority unions have withdrawn the strikes pending the result of the consultation, the organizations that left the negotiation earlier maintain that the Government's proposal is insufficient and are asking to vote no.

The three minority organizations left the negotiating table before the government and the majority unions closed a pre-agreement. Since then, they have maintained that the text does not respond to their demands and are maintaining the calendar of territorial mobilizations between Monday and Thursday.

The first shift corresponds to Girona and Central Catalonia. The continuity of the strikes in these territories contrasts with the position of the majority unions, which have opted to de-convoke the strikes until they know the result of the consultation with the teaching staff.

Girona hosts a camp that links with Monday's strike day

Tonight, the Coordinator of Educational Assemblies of the Girona Lands has called for a camp in front of the territorial services of Girona. Before that, during the afternoon, there will be a protest event in the same framework of mobilization.

The call was explained during the anti-racist run held in Salt, where the unions detailed that the festive and protest day will begin at five in the afternoon. The program includes performances by various artists, especially children, as well as information points linked to different campaigns.

The meeting will be named after the last colonies of the Girona region and will reserve a space to analyze the pre-agreement. The organizers' forecast is that the camp will end tomorrow morning, already linked to the strike day.

In addition, for early tomorrow morning, an assembly of mobilized teachers is planned. The call in Girona will close with a vermouth and a brass band before completing the first day of territorial strikes.
