Lass Kourouma joined Girona B on January 16th after finalizing his departure from Levante's reserve team. The club announced the operation at Montilivi, where it was confirmed that the transfer was made at zero cost, with variables and nearly 50% of the price of a future sale reserved for Levante. Kourouma, brother of Celta player and former Barça player Ilaix Moriba, arrived after having debuted in the Second Division in the last league match with Levante, in a goalless draw against Huesca.

Key Participation in the Reserve Team and Leap to the First Team

Since his arrival, Lass played every available minute in the promotion playoff to Segunda RFEF with Girona B. The midfielder's performance was decisive for the team led by Quique Álvarez. In the words of the reserve team coach:

"Last season helped us a lot, it was a very important reinforcement to get promoted, and this year is the same. He's a very important piece who is participating a lot with the first team and we are very happy. I'm very happy when he drops down, of course, and when he's with the first team I wish him to play and for everything to go as well as possible" - Quique Álvarez, Girona B

During the summer, Míchel included Kourouma in the preseason with the first team. In the friendly against Olot, the player played 70 minutes in the position previously occupied by Arthur Melo and Oriol Romeu.

Call-ups and minutes in First Division and Cup

In the current season, Lass has been called up for 9 of the 17 league matches with the first team. His league debut occurred at San Mamés, where he played 4 minutes. Subsequently, he participated against Valencia (7 minutes), Barça (11 minutes), and Madrid (7 minutes). In the Copa, the midfielder played all the minutes for Girona, with 120 against Constància and 90 against Ourense.

Since the match in Galicia, Lass has not played with the first team again, although he has been called up for the trips to Elche and San Sebastián

Renewal and Off-Field Activity

Girona rewarded Kourouma's performance with the reserve team by renewing his contract until 2028 during the summer. Furthermore, in October, the footballer participated in a promotional event at the opening of a Xocolates Torras store in Cornellà del Terri, where he signed autographs alongside Bryan Gil and Arnau Martínez.

For the 24/25 season, Lass has been loaned to Unió Esportiva Eivissa of Primera RFEF. His progress and the attention received in both the reserve and first teams keep the focus on his future in professional football.
