A fire on a ground floor of a residential block on the avenida de Navarra de Olot mobilized emergency services this Sunday night, a few minutes before 9:00 PM. The fire originated in a heater that the tenant of the dwelling had taken outside.
Four crews and medical attention at the scene
To the building, four units of Bombers were dispatched, in addition to SEM personnel and the Municipal Police of Olot. Upon their arrival, the teams located the ground floor and the building's staircase full of smoke, which forced them to carry out ventilation tasks to secure the area.
The operation focused on controlling the smoke impact and checking the building after the incident. The presence of emergency services generated expectation at this point of Avenida de Navarra during Sunday night.
Two people attended and discharge at the same point
The SEM attended to two people, specifically the affected person from the lower floor and another person from the upper floor. Both were discharged at the same place, without the need for transfer to a healthcare center.
The intervention was limited to the fire and to the ventilation of the block, once dissipated the smoke accumulated on the ground floor and in the staircase of the building.
