The carnival filled Saturday afternoon with activity in Girona, with simultaneous celebrations in the neighborhoods of Montilivi and Palau-Sant Pau, Devesa-Güell, Santa Eugènia, Can Gibert and Sant Narcís. The streets and squares of these points of the city hosted different parades, contests and family activities.

Festive deployment in Montilivi and Palau-Sant Pau

The day began at four in the afternoon in Montilivi and Palau-Sant Pau. The parade departed from Ciutat de Figueres square, made a stop on Jaume M. i Casanovas street and concluded in Migdia park. There was a chocolate party, the awards ceremony and a musical performance by Rikus. The costume contest included individual, group and troupe categories, which allowed the participation of residents of all ages.

Animation and shows in Devesa-Güell

Half an hour later, the activity moved to Devesa-Güell. The group Caixa de Trons enlivened the parade that left Sardana square and ended in Miquel de Palol square. At this point, attendees were able to taste coca from La Puntual and enjoy the family show "Rodamons", presented by Menuda Buena Onda.

Santa Eugènia and Can Gibert bet on neighborhood participation

In Santa Eugènia and Can Gibert, the parade started at the Santa Eugènia parish, went through several streets and ended at the Montfalgars school, with a stop at Santa Eugènia square. The Montfalgars school hosted a snack for those registered and entertainment by Doctor Fly. The involvement of the residents was noted in the high participation registered in the activities.

Sant Narcís gathers families and local entities

From five in the afternoon, Sant Narcís offered children's entertainment with Rikus and a hot chocolate. The event was organized by the Sant Narcís Neighborhood Association, with the collaboration of Esplai de Sant Narcís, La Patuleia, the Girona City Council and the Sant Narcís Civic Center. The coordination of local entities allowed the celebration to proceed normally and with a festive atmosphere.
