Empuriabrava recovers 4 occupied homes in 2 days and leaves 8 charged

The Policia Local de Castelló d"Empúries and the Mossos d"Esquadra have recovered four illegally occupied homes in Empuriabrava in two joint operations carried out on April 15 and 17. The balance of the actions leaves four people arrested and four investigated.

The interventions were concentrated in different points of Empuriabrava and allowed to return the properties to their owners. Two of the arrests were made for an alleged crime of violation of domicile, while the other two were carried out for alleged crimes of damage and usurpation of housing. The four investigated persons are for an alleged usurpation.

Three performances on the same day

The first intervention took place on April 15 at 10:45 a.m. in the sector Gran Reserva de Empuriabrava. At that point, the agents arrested two people aged 29 and 26.

That same day, at 11:45 hours, the operation moved to the Miami building, in the Delta Muga sector of Empuriabrava. There, two investigated individuals, both 19 years old, were identified in relation to an alleged usurpation.

The third action on April 15 occurred at 16:45 hours, again in the Gran Reserva sector. In this case, two people aged 53 and 34 were investigated.

A fourth recovery on April 17

The last intervention was carried out on April 17 at 14:45 hours. The operation was activated after an alarm went off and after the complaint filed by an owner. The action ended with the arrest of two people of 22 and 25 years old.

With these four actions, the two police forces closed a new joint operation for the recovery of properties in Empuriabrava, with eight people prosecuted between arrested and investigated and four homes returned after the entries made in different sectors of the municipality.
