The Generalitat Firefighters have located this Sunday at noon a corpse on the left bank of the Mogent river, in Llinars del Vallès, during the search for the driver who had been swept away by the current two days earlier.
Finding 400 meters from the vehicle
The body has been found about 400 meters from the place where the van was found, which had been moved approximately 2.4 kilometers from the walkway located at the height of the Flamagas company. The discovery area has been marked by the Firefighters, who have notified the Mossos d'Esquadra to activate the judicial and scientific protocol.

Search operation and mobilized devices
The search operation began on Friday afternoon after receiving the report of the disappearance of a van driver in the Mogent river. Since then, nearly 40 members of the Bombers have been mobilized every day with about twenty units, among which are included the Special Actions Group (GRAE), the Canine Search Group (GRCR), drone teams, the helicopter of the Aerial Means unit, the Operational Support Group (GROS) and the Active Forest Prevention Team (EPAF).
- Divers from Barcelona Firefighters and Maritime Rescue have collaborated in the tasks.
- Mossos d'Esquadra, Local Police and the City Council of Llinars del Vallès have also participated in the operation.
Investigation and care for family members
Following the discovery, the Mossos d'Esquadra have activated the investigation unit, the scientific police, and the judicial retinue to proceed with the removal and identification of the body. The Medical Emergencies System (SEM) has offered psychological support to the relatives of the missing person.
