A 31-year-old woman of Honduran origin has been admitted to provisional communication and bail-less prison for the homicide of her partner in Salt. The accused appeared on Thursday morning before court of instruction number 4 of the Girona Court of Instance to formalize her arrest.
The victim died bleeding to death after a stab wound
The crime occurred last Monday during an argument between the couple. The events led to a stabbing that caused the man's death from blood loss after receiving a stab wound to the leg. After committing the crime, the woman fled to Barcelona.
Two days later he voluntarily surrendered at the shared station of the Mossos d'Esquadra and the Local Police. At that moment he confessed the facts to the agents. The Criminal Investigation Division of the Mossos d'Esquadra is directing the proceedings, which remain under judicial secrecy.

The couple resided in precarious conditions inside a storage room located at number 17 Doctor Ferran street. This property registers habitual police interventions due to drug use in its vicinity. The TSJC has confirmed that there were no judicial records between both members of the couple.
Girona adds its second homicide of the year
This event marks the second homicide registered this year in the Girona regions. The first occurred on March 22 in Olot, where Adrián Romero, 31 years old and of Honduran origin, died after receiving a stab wound in the back.
For the Olot case, three arrests were made. One adult was admitted to provisional prison while another was released as a witness. A minor was admitted to a closed regime for his alleged involvement in those events.
