A 49-year-old driver was arrested on Tuesday, May 26, in Olot after hitting a cyclist, colliding with another car, and attempting to flee from Girona Avenue, where the accident occurred around 7:45 PM.
The intervention of the Local Police of Olot also revealed that the man was driving with a suspended driver's license and that he refused to take an alcohol test. The cyclist suffered minor injuries and was taken by SEM to the Hospital d'Olot i Comarcal de la Garrotxa.

The officers located and identified the driver shortly after the incident, which involved the cyclist and another vehicle on one of Olot's urban roads.
During the checks, the Local Police of Olot verified that the man had his driver's license suspended. To that situation was added his refusal to take the alcohol test required by the officers.

After these checks, the officers arrested him for crimes against road safety. The man is 49 years old and had a record for similar incidents.
Meanwhile, the cyclist received assistance from SEM at the scene of the accident and arrived with minor injuries at the Hospital d'Olot i Comarcal de la Garrotxa.
The detainee will soon be brought before the judicial authorities for crimes against road safety.
