The Girona Municipal Police arrested three men for an attempted robbery with force inside a vehicle on Monday night on Alacant street, in the Sant Narcís neighborhood. The arrests occurred after two plainclothes officers detected the maneuver during a preventive patrol.

The operation made it possible to intercept not only the man who allegedly broke the window of the parked car, but also two others who, according to police action, were watching the area to facilitate the crime and alert of a possible police presence.

Two plainclothes officers saw the window break on Alacant street

The events occurred when two officers traveling in an unmarked vehicle on Santa Coloma road observed an individual breaking the window of a car parked on the nearby Alacant street.

The patrol was carrying out prevention work in Sant Narcís when they detected the sequence. The intervention ended with the arrest of three men for attempted robbery with force inside the vehicle.

Police attribute surveillance duties to two of the arrested

Along with the alleged perpetrator, the Girona Municipal Police arrested two other men who were in the area. Police action places them in surveillance roles to facilitate the robbery and warn if officers appeared.

The detainees are 46, 25, and 25 years old. All three have police records.

The intervention took place in the Sant Narcís neighborhood, at a point located between Santa Coloma road and Alacant street, where the plainclothes patrol was carrying out preventive surveillance on Monday night.
