Three people were slightly injured this Wednesday due to smoke inhalation in the fire that broke out in an apartment in Blanes, in a building on Ramon Llull street. The fire originated in an air fryer located on the third floor and required the activation of emergency services during the morning.
The smoke was not confined to the dwelling and spread through the building's staircase. This spread forced the evacuation of five people and the confinement of another three while the Bombers de la Generalitat ventilated the building.

The Bombers de la Generalitat initially mobilized six units, although in the end only one unit intervened in the Blanes building. The operation focused on ventilating the staircase and controlling the consequences of the smoke inside the building.
During the intervention, the teams kept five people outside the building and asked another three to remain confined until the ventilation tasks were completed. The operation ended around 10:30 in the morning.

The SEM assisted three people for minor injuries caused by smoke inhalation. Among them was a person who had tried to extinguish the flames with a fire extinguisher before the arrival of the emergency services.
