The AP 7 has been cut off for more than an hour this Friday at the height of Biure, in the direction of France, due to a traffic accident between two cars. The incident occurred shortly before 9:30 a.m. at kilometer point 16 of the highway, within the municipal area of Biure and very close to Pont de Molins.
One of the vehicles has ended up overturned in the middle of the road, a circumstance that has forced traffic to be interrupted in this section. Personnel from the Mossos d'Esquadra Traffic, the SEM and the Firefighters have moved to the area to attend to the emergency and work on the removal of the vehicles involved.
Two people injured and northbound delays
The Catalan Traffic Service has reported that there are two injured, although their condition has not yet been disclosed. The incident has had a direct impact on mobility in this sector of Alt Empordà, with traffic jams of up to three kilometers that have extended to Cabanes.
The road has partially recovered circulation
The road has reopened around 10:30 AM, although one lane has remained closed while accident management tasks continued. Traffic has been progressively recovering in the direction of France after a morning marked by traffic complications at this point of the AP 7.
