A driver was injured this morning after going off the road with her car on the C 152 road, in the municipality of la Vall d"en Bas, and ending up inside the grounds of a private house. The woman, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was trapped inside and had to be freed by the Firefighters.
The accident alert was received at 00.08 hours through the 112 emergency phone. Two fire brigades were dispatched to the scene, in addition to personnel from the Medical Emergency System and the Mossos d'Esquadra.
The car ended up behind the fence of a dwelling
The car did not remain on the roadway of the C 152. After leaving the road, it broke the fence of an estate and ended up among bushes inside a private property. That position complicated the intervention and left the driver trapped in the passenger compartment.
The Firefighters located the vehicle and performed the extrication from the rear of the car to be able to work safely. Once out, the victim was attended to by the SEM at the same place.
Transfer to Trueta Hospital
After the first assistance, the woman was evacuated in less serious condition to Josep Trueta hospital in Girona. No more people are reported affected, as the driver was traveling alone.
The vehicle remained inside the private property after the accident and it was planned to remove it throughout this Saturday, while the acting services completed the operation in the area.
