A large tonnage truck has caught fire this Thursday on the C 25 at the height of Brunyola, in the region of La Selva, and has forced the road to be cut in the Girona direction. The vehicle fire has mobilized four units of Firefighters, while traffic has been interrupted on this stretch of the highway.
The incident has generated one-kilometer traffic jams on the C 25 and has forced the diversion of cars via exit 225. The exit of vehicles that had been trapped between the burned truck and the cutoff point has also been allowed.

Emergency teams have worked on extinguishing the truck fire while the Girona direction remained closed. Mobility management in the area involved removing cars from the road at exit 225 to alleviate congestion and prevent the queue from increasing in the affected section.
The exit of the drivers who were between the burning truck and the cut has allowed to partially decongest the pocket of retained vehicles, although circulation has remained very conditioned during the intervention.
Complicated afternoon also in the surroundings of Barcelona
The metropolitan road network has also registered an afternoon of dense traffic on several of its main accesses. The B 10 and the B 20 have accumulated retentions in both directions, with special intensity at the Nus Llobregat and Nus Trinitat links.
Queues have also formed on the A 2 between Sant Joan Despí and Cornellà de Llobregat in the direction of Lleida. Added to that situation was an accident on the B 23 between el Papiol and Molins de Rei, where one lane has been closed and delays have been recorded towards Martorell at 18 hours.
In parallel, traffic has been slow on the C 58 and the C 33 in the direction towards Nus Trinitat, as well as on the C 17 in the direction of Barcelona, in an afternoon period marked by several incidents and intense traffic on the main entry and exit corridors of the metropolitan area.
