Thousands of people gathered in the Palau Firal de la Devesa de Girona to participate in the casting of the musical film Enredados, in a call that overflowed the surroundings of the venue with a queue of about 5 kilometers.
The wait began on Sunday at eleven in the morning and continued throughout Monday. The line of applicants crossed the entire wooded area of La Devesa and entered the city, in an unusual image in this sector of Girona.
A massive call in Devesa
The selection was to serve to choose between one thousand and two thousand extras or background actors for the filming planned in the city. The call was open to men and women between 4 and 80 years old, and as it was a musical, dancers up to 70 years old were also sought.
Among the attendees there were mainly teenagers and children, although people over 70 years old also attended. The participation gathered aspirants from different parts of the Països Catalans, from the whole of the State and also from France.
Filming scheduled in July
The filming of Enredados en Girona is scheduled between July 13 and 29. Before, the production will also pass through Tarragona in early July and through Alicante, in País Valencià.
The movie is directed by Michael Gracey. Teagan Croft will play Rapunzel and Milo Manheim will appear as Flynn Rider.
Musical adaptation
Enredados is an adaptation of the animated film released in 2020. The scale of the call in Girona anticipates the magnitude of a production that will mobilize a large number of extras in different filming locations.
The day left an image of strong expectation in the Gerundian capital, with the Palau Firal de la Devesa as the epicenter of a call that attracted thousands of people of very diverse ages to opt to be part of the filming.
