The Local Police of Castelló d"Empúries has reported a 40-year-old man in Empuriabrava for an infraction of the Citizen Security Law after seizing a butterfly knife and hashish for personal consumption. The action took place on Sunday around 11:30 PM on Fages de Climent avenue.
Identified during a preventive service
The intervention began when a patrol was carrying out a preventive public safety service aimed at preventing crimes against property. While circulating along Fages de Climent avenue, the officers observed a man carrying some large bags, a circumstance that caught the attention of the police.
After stopping him and identifying him, the agents verified that he was carrying a butterfly knife with a large blade. During the search they also located hashish for personal consumption.
Complaint for prohibited weapon and possession of drugs
The Local Police processed against this man two administrative complaints, one for carrying a prohibited bladed weapon and another for possession of drugs. For the moment, the action falls within the scope of the Citizen Security Law.
The events occurred in Empuriabrava, within the municipal area of Castelló d"Empúries, during a usual preventive surveillance operation on the public road.
