The Mossos d'Esquadra arrested on May 5 in Llagostera a 51-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman for an alleged marijuana cultivation inside a dwelling in the municipality. The operation was carried out by the Investigation Unit of the Girona police station after opening an investigation due to indications of an indoor plantation.
The search uncovered a setup prepared to keep almost 600 plants inside the house. Agents located 597 marijuana plants and, in addition to the charge of a crime against public health and drug trafficking, they attributed to the two arrested individuals an alleged fraud of electrical fluid due to a direct connection to the grid.
