A driver was slightly injured early Tuesday morning in a traffic accident on the C-66, near Flaçà, after the car he was driving went off the road at kilometer 21.
The incident occurred around 2:45 AM and did not involve other vehicles, but a garbage truck had to intervene at the scene, stopping as it passed through the area. Its occupants helped the driver get out of the car before the arrival of emergency services.

Mossos d'Esquadra de Trànsit, SEM, and Bombers de la Generalitat personnel were dispatched to the accident site, attending to the incident on this stretch of road as it passed through Flaçà.
Sources from the operation indicated that the vehicle had ended up off the roadway without a collision with other cars or involvement of a second car in the incident.

In addition to the assistance provided by the occupants of the garbage truck, the health operation mobilized two units. The driver received attention at the scene and was later evacuated to the Josep Trueta hospital in Girona.
The alert came in the early morning, during a time with little traffic, and focused the emergency services' response on a single crashed vehicle.
