More than 300 people were evacuated this Saturday from a hotel in Castell-Platja d'Aro after a fire broke out on the third floor of the building. The Bombers de la Generalitat mobilized nine units after receiving the alert from 112 at 7:25 p.m. and managed to control the fire.
The fire forced the evacuation of all five floors of the establishment, while the SEM treated three people for smoke inhalation. The incident affected the entire building, although the flames originated on only one level of the hotel.

The evacuation extended to the entire building and not just the third floor, where the fire started. More than 300 people had to leave the hotel in Castell-Platja d'Aro during the emergency teams' operation.
After the arrival of the personnel, the Bombers de la Generalitat deployed nine units to control the fire. The intervention began after 112 received the alert at 7:25 p.m.
