The PSC of Salt has denounced the appearance of a dozen "control" signs around the perimeter of the works for the new multi-purpose pavilion, a public facility that has PUOSC funding. The municipal group considers the situation serious and demands immediate explanations from the local government for the presence of these signs.

Among the visible inscriptions in the construction area are expressions such as "Control Echeverría" and "Blunderbuss Basques". The socialists link these messages to alleged extortionist practices detected in recent years within the construction sector and maintain that their presence in a public work cannot be normalized.

Criticisms of the municipal government

The spokesperson for the PSC of Salt, Joan Martín, has criticized the lack of reaction from the local executive regarding these elements placed on the premises. The municipal group understands that there has not been an adequate response from the City Council and maintains that the case directly affects the institutional image of the municipality.

"It is not admissible that in a public work these types of posters appear and that there is no action on the part of the City Council" - Joan Martín, spokesperson of the PSC of Salt

Martín has also insisted that these signs "have been repeatedly related to extortionist practices within the sector", reason for which he demands immediate intervention.

Petition for withdrawal and legal control of surveillance

The PSC demands the immediate removal of the posters and asks the local government to clarify why they have appeared in the vicinity of a public work. It also requests guarantees that the surveillance of the premises is carried out exclusively through legal mechanisms and with authorized security companies.

The party adds another criticism about the project's management. It denounces that on the work site the mandatory institutional sign of the PUOSC is not visibly displayed, despite the fact that the new multi-purpose pavilion receives funding from this program.

A complaint with political and institutional scope

For the municipal group, the combination of these posters and the absence of institutional signage aggravates the situation. The PSC considers that the City Council must act immediately and forcefully to prevent this type of practices from consolidating in a space linked to a public action.

The party maintains pressure on the government of Salt and demands a clear answer about what happened in the perimeter of the works, with the removal of the signs and the verification that any control or surveillance system strictly conforms to legality.
