The Firefighters rescued this Saturday afternoon a dog that had been trapped in the mud of a pond in Sant Medir, in the municipality of Sant Gregori, in the Gironès region. The alert arrived at 3:47 PM and the intervention ended without harm to the animal.
The dog could not get out by its own means
The animal had become immobilized inside the mud pit and could not get out alone. Access to the exact point where it was located was also made difficult by the muddy state of the area, which forced the personnel to prepare the approach carefully.
To reach the raft, the Firefighters placed a ladder that allowed them to approach safely. Once next to the dog, they managed to help it get out of the mud and complete the rescue without added complications.
Intervention resolved without incidents
The animal was able to return with its owners after the action. The intervention was closed without further incidents at this point in Sant Medir, where the accumulation of mud had prevented the dog from being able to escape by itself.
