The Alpicat City Council has presented the redevelopment of the sports area of Parc del Graó, an action budgeted at 349,535 euros over a surface area of 4,032 square meters.

The intervention focuses on joining two areas that currently function separately. The park and the sports area are divided by the Paseo del Parque, and the project proposes to turn this axis into a tree-lined and partially pedestrian promenade to improve the connection between both spaces.

The project will act on 4,032 square meters with an investment of 349,535 euros

The work is part of the 2026-2029 Master Plan and includes new roads, landscaped areas, children's play areas differentiated by age, and a lawn area designed for outdoor activities. It also foresees the planting of 20 trees within the scope of action.

Along with the reorganization of uses, the council proposes an intervention on materials and internal circulation. The Paseo del Parque will have a more pedestrian-friendly treatment, with trees and the presence of natural materials such as sauló.

The municipal presentation places that action as a connecting piece between the Parc del Graó and the set of sports facilities in the area, where the swimming pools, football fields, paddle tennis courts, and pavilions are already in operation.

The master plan will add more than 5,000 square meters of green and sports areas

Beyond this phase, the master plan foresees a global expansion of more than 5,000 square meters of green and sports areas. The forecast reinforces the role of this area as one of the main public spaces and activity centers in the municipality.

The performance also incorporates changes in water management. The design will adjust the pavements to avoid leaks and conduct water towards green areas, while reinforcing the vegetation and improving the existing forest.

The master plan covers the period 2026-2029.

The most concrete detail of this environmental improvement involves the combination of new pavements, the planned planting, and the creation of a lawn area for outdoor activities within the 4,032 square meters covered by the intervention.
