The Mossos d'Esquadra have criminally reported a 24-year-old motorcyclist for a crime against road safety. The events occurred this Wednesday on the C-14 road as it passed through the municipal district of Ribera d'Urgellet.
The driver was traveling at 202 kilometers per hour on a road limited to 90. This speed widely doubled the maximum allowed on that section of the Catalan road network.
A preventive check detects the serious infraction
The detection of the vehicle occurred during a speed surveillance operation established by the agents in that area of the Alt Urgell. The device aimed to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with traffic regulations.
Given the seriousness of the infraction committed, the members of the police force proceeded to immobilize the motorcycle immediately. This precautionary measure seeks to prevent the driver from continuing to circulate in those risky conditions.

The case now goes to the judicial route
The judicial authority of La Seu d'Urgell will be in charge of determining the criminal responsibilities derived from this reckless driving. The procedure continues its ordinary course after the complaint filed by the agents.
This episode is added to the usual actions of the Mossos d'Esquadra to control speeding on secondary roads. The C-14 registers intense traffic that requires extreme caution.
