The strong wind episode left 875 calls to the 112 emergency phone until 3:00 p.m. and generated 596 files, with an impact especially concentrated in the Girona demarcation, from where 76.6% of the alerts originated. The region most affected by volume of incidents was Baix Empordà, which accumulated 289 calls, 36.65% of the total.

The bulk of the warnings focused on structural problems in buildings, urban furniture in poor condition, and falling branches and trees. The Baix Empordà was on orange alert and not on red alert, so the previous day the ES Alert was not sent in that area.

El Baix Empordà concentrates the largest volume of incidents

The towns with the most calls to 112 were Castell Platja d"Aro with 63, Palamós with 58 and Calonge i Sant Antoni with 57. Also exceeding thirty were Lloret de Mar with 40, Girona with 38 and Berga with 35. Among the municipalities cited by volume of alerts also appear Santa Cristina d"Aro with 24 and l"Escala with 15.

After Baix Empordà, the second region with the most calls was Alt Empordà with 118, 15.45% of the total. It was followed by Gironès with 88, Selva with 79 and Berguedà with 70.

More than 500 calls to Firefighters for trees, roofs, and wiring

Firefighters received 506 calls between 8:00 PM the previous day and 1:00 PM that day. Of this total, 381 corresponded to the Girona region, 75%. The counties with the most services were Baix Empordà and Alt Empordà.

Most interventions were related to fallen trees, roof elements, and power lines. In Vall llobrega, Palamós, and Calonge, parts of roofs and solar panels caused damage to several cars parked on the street. In Sant Jordi Desvalls, the fall of several light poles was attributed to an electrical failure reported around 11:00 a.m.

A fire in l'Escala and power and telephony outages in Molló

In l"Escala, a small forest fire started the previous day at 21:46 hours mobilized 6 units of Bombers over an area of about 5,000 square meters.

In Molló, in Ripollès, the storm caused an interruption of the electricity supply and mobile coverage problems. The first incidents with the power were registered around 10:00 a.m. and from 12:00 p.m. the municipality was left without electricity. The telephone service was interrupted at midday and was restored before 3:00 p.m. The distributor later reported that the electricity supply returned after several hours of outage.

"Spectacular" - Pep Coma, mayor of Molló

The mayor of Molló denounced the abandonment that, in his opinion, the municipality suffers from the companies and the Generalitat, and recalled that fifteen days ago they already ran out of service. Coma also pointed out that the main hypothesis points to the fall of a tree on the power line, which would have caused a fire and the interruption of the supply in the middle of a day of strong wind.
