Seven people were affected by a fire declared at dawn at the entrance of a building on l"Avellaner street, in the Font de la Pólvora sector of Girona. The alert reached 112 at 05:10 AM this Sunday and mobilized the Generalitat Firefighters and the Medical Emergency System.
Fire in a meter of the access to the property
The fire burned a meter located at the entrance of the property. Although the focus was located at the access of the property, the emergency intervention extended to the entire building to check if there was more affectation.
The Firefighters checked the staircase and also the homes before declaring the service closed. The inspection was carried out throughout the property to rule out damage derived from the fire outside the point where it originated.
Seven attended and no hospital evacuation
The SEM attended to seven people at the same location. All were discharged on-site, without the need for transfer to any health center.
In the health operation, four ambulances were activated, which moved to l"Avellaner street while review and verification tasks were carried out in the building.
Incident closed also in the supply
Once the emergency services' operation was completed, the electricity company intervened in the area and was able to declare the incident related to the electricity supply in Font de la Pólvora closed. The service was concluded after the building's inspection and the subsequent technical action.
